Welcome to the Klein Lab in the Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Ecology at New Mexico State University.

My students and I work directly with various collaborators to improve the management and conservation of freshwater fishes. Specifically, we use ecological theory in conjunction with experimentation, field observation, and quantitative methods to address questions directly related to the population ecology of sport and nongame fish. Our research spans lotic and lentic environments and is focused on understanding how the dynamics and demographics of fish populations are influenced by abiotic and biotic factors.

Please take a look around to learn more about our lab.
